I’ve been reading this series for a while now, and I have been wondering what the author would do to keep the series interesting and full of energy. So I was very pleased that this book mixed things up in an unexpected way.

Sienna is the most powerful Meta in the world, even with her brother and a few others being pumped up with extra power from a syrum. She flies, she can shoot fire and use herself as a bomb to destroy cities, she can read your mind, send you mad, and heal from most mortal wounds in seconds, and that is just a few of her powers. Oh and don’t forget that she can absorb your soul, along with another Meta’s powers, through her skin. She is also on the top of the Most Wanted List for a long list of crimes, most of which she is innocent of.

Because of that she is on a permanent holiday on a tropical island, secretly funding a Meta detective agency, all with money she stole from a criminal, eating and drinking her way into nothing-ness. So when her ex, the man supposedly in charge of arresting her, turns up and asks for help, she is caustiuos of a trap. She decides to help anyway, though the hardest part is dealing with the awkwardness of working with her ex, who’s memories she stole. That is until she walks into a bank robbery, and discovers her own arrogance might just be her undoing.

The incident forces Sienna to re-evaluate her whole life, or at least what is left of it, and the relationships she has failed to value.

The next book in the series is called Small Things, and will be released on 16th May 2017.
