This is the third and final book in the His Dark Materials series.
Lyra has been kidnapped by her own mother, and Will is determined to rescue her. Which thankfully he does. Together, along with some allies, they travel through the Land of the Dead in order to rescue the ghosts that are trapped there, but not everyone enters will return.
On their return to Lyra’s world, the two realise that they have fallen in love with each other. But that realisation brings a terrible choice, as being together would have far reaching consequences, because the prophecy concerning Lyra is still playing it’s part in her life.
There are four short stories to go with this series, and a fifth one planned, so I will post about all five after it is released.
“I think you have a moral responsibility when you’ve been given far more than you need, to do wise things with it and give intelligently.” JK Rowling.
P.S.- I am so sorry this post is a day late. I seem to have lost a day somewhere, and didn’t realise that I had missed posting this yesterday.
