This is the 9th book in a series called Out of the Box.

 

Sienna a her team are settling into their jobs as freelance superheros for hire nicely, so she doesn’t think twice when a friend in the police force asks for her help. Even when forced to fly on a plane, and not allowed to carry a gun, Sienna isn’t concenrned, after all she beat has proven she can beat Meta-humans even when her powers have temporarily been taken away.

What she finds is web of murder, deciet, and lies as a criminal tries to hide her crimes and keep a hold on her power. But it seems Sienna isn’t the only one on the case. Insipred by Sienna, New York has two new Meta-human ‘superheros’ prottecting the city, but only one of them actually wants to do any good. And this earns the new kid in town a place on the bad guys hitlist.

Sienna and her new Meta-human friend must team up before one of both of them end up dead, but it leads to Sienna looking deep into a dark pit as she contemplates returning to her own brand of stopping the bad guys.

The tenth book in the series is called Prisoners, and is due to be released in October 2016.
