As all you Potterheads will know, spending the summer away from a school where you learn magic is hard. Call is finding it no different; mainly it’s because his father thinks that he is evil, and may be secretly trying to destroy him and his dog.

So Call runs away back to the Magisterum, and into even more trouble than what he’s running away from. A very powerful magical object called The Alkahest has been stolen, which can steal a magician’s power, and Call and his friends are determined to find out who has taken it. Only their search draws the attention of some very dangerous enemies, and uncovers truths that they might wish they never knew.

The third book in the series is called The Cosmos Blade.
