This book is the first book in a series called The Girl in the Box.

When two men break into Sienna’s house when she is home alone, you think she would be scared, and she was, but not too scared to do anything about it. She beats them both up, and jumps straight into a strangers car to get away, only to have a running with a monster before she can take in the fact it is the first time she has left the house in 10 years.

Now under the protection of a shadowy organization called the Directorate, who she doesn’t trust, she discovers why she has been kept away from the world, and why the oldest and strongest of monsters wants a piece of her. Sienna is not your average human, and her mother is God only knows where when she really needs some answers.

This is a really good book, one that I didn’t want to put down, and I’m already enjoying book two, so well worth getting as the ebook is currently free.

The second book in the series is called Untouched.

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” Martin Luther King Jnr.
