Across the Wall by Garth Nix (*10 years and over) SPOILER ALERT! DON’T READ UNTIL YOU’VE READ THE OTHER BOOKS IN THE SERIES!

Title: Across the Wall.

Author: Garth Nix.

Year of Publication: 2007 (UK).

Publisher: Harper Collins Children’s Books (UK).

Format: Available in paperback, an ebook, and an audiobook.

Cost for Paperback (RRP): £6.99 (UK).

Age Range: I suggest from about 10 up, if you’re younger than this I suggest asking your parents first.

This book is an accompanying book in a series called The Old Kingdom, but also contains other short stories not related to the series.

This is a collection of short stories from one of my favourite authors, including one from The Old Kingdom, and two Arthurian tales. The author has put a lot of effort into making this book fun, and it has paid off. The stories are great, and he has included lots of introductions to each story.

It is a good book for anyone who is still to go on summer holidays this year, to give you something fantastic to read by the pool or on long journeys.

The next book in the series is called To Hold the Bridge.

“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives one.” Jojen Reed, A Dance with Dragons.
